Another Amazing Engagement for the Corporate Services Fraternity at one of the Magnificent venues of Delhi NCR, which brought over 600 colleagues together from across National Capital Region. This fantastic carnival cum conclave was the first of its kind by GACS & the organizing team was delighted to see that it has been a Mega Success. The whole-hearted response we received from the GACS team members can be gauged by the fact that we had a packed house at The Nikunj plus over 300 colleagues interacted with us online during this event.
This unique carnival cum event has been put together by over 70 Volunteers over the last two months and had undertaken hundreds of man-hours over the weekends. GACS’s digital effort towards making the entry seamless was the result of relentless efforts by our IT Partner (Smart24X7) together with the members from the volunteering team. The large scale layout which was to be prepared for the Carnival cum Conclave needed the teams from GACS Secretariat, Founding Bricks & Volunteering to work closely together from 14th itself. Details for each and every stall was chalked out & executed by the respective teams, thereby making it an incredible experience for all.
15th February, saw the activity since early morning wherein the volunteers started gathering on the site and taking charge of their respective areas from 11 am onwards & as the time of Carnival grew closer, we started welcoming the delegates and attendees to the event. By 2 PM, the entire carnival area was buzzing with activity… people who were walking had the opportunity to witness so many interaction points:
When the Carnival was in Full Swing, the entire mood was upbeat & The Mega Conclave Started with a Bang . Event kicked off on time as soon as our Key Note Speaker & the Guest of Honor arrived. Proceedings at the event were masterfully conducted by the Master of Ceremonies Vineet Panchhi who has always been a great support to the GACS movement. He ensured not just that the proceedings were seamless but also kept people entertained with his Poems.
Event Kicked off with the ritual of Security Briefing by Col Ashok Prabhakar, supported by the Security team of GNH Hotels. This was followed with customary lamp lighting with Key Note Speaker, J B Singh (CEO, Interglobe Hotels) & Maj Generaj Joneja (Advisory Board Member GACS) doing the honors. National Anthem played post the lamp lighting always fills up the audience with sheer pride & re-emphasizes GACS’s commitment towards development of this nation.
J B Singh, CEO, Interglobe Hotels addressed the attendees & kept them glued to their seats for almost half an hour. His knowledge, experience, instances & the transformational ideas were so engrossing that none of the attendees moved. He spoke in length about the entire hospitality industry, trends and the future of tourism in this country. As an attendee, I never realized that his session got over so soon although all of us wanted more of his words of wisdom to come in. He had the leaders spellbound with his knowledge & statistics he shared. A S Natarajan & Rahul Lal felicitated Mr Singh and thanked him for taking out time for encouraging us.
Mr Suman Billa, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Tourism, India addressed the gathering & was elated to understand about GACS. He shared his thought on how India as a Tourism destination can change the dynamics of this country & how this sector has been making progress in times to come. He promised to extend his support to the GACS initiatives & encouraged the attendees to come forward and look for Oppurtunities in partnership with the government. Capt Rajesh Sharma felicitated Mr Billa for his thoughts & presence.

GACS is now committed to hold similar events across the country through their respective chapters. We also had over 300+ GACS members who joined us on Face Book Live from various parts of the country
The success of the event could be gauged by the enthusiasm and response it receives from the fraternity and barring a few most of whom happened to be travelling and had intimated their regret to the GACS organizing committee in advance, the event was attended by almost all the senior fraternity members. Finally, a big THANKS to “The Volunteers” who are responsible for making this event such a HUGE success. I am sure we all know how much planning goes into making each event and how hard people have to work behind the scenes for an event of this magnitude. Taking out time from their routine jobs and meeting on weekends to ensure every minute details are taken care of is surely commendable.
Once again thanking all the thought leaders, Media, delegates from GACS & B3 community, supporters (GNH The Nikunj, Zomato’s food @ Work, Riya Travels, Giriraj Travels, Interim Relocations & Lithium) partners and well-wishers for making this event a huge success and Looking forward to more such Knowledge Exchanges ahead, please do not forget to check the website for all the latest photos, research papers and presentations.
