Dear Vikas,Providing transport to female employees after 8 pm is a mandate. In case any female employee would like to use her own vehicle to commute, it should be documented in writing mentioning shift timings so that there should not be any obligation on the organisation. As an initiative, you can provide support in following forms:1. Providing escort guard up to the parking area (where the vehicle is parked, if the parking is in isolated area) - Make sure to document every information like time out/in, name/clock number of escort guard and a phone call to check whether the employee has boarded the vehicle safely2. Providing escort guard up to her residence (guard will return on his own) - Make sure to document every information like time out/in, name/clock number of escort guard and a phone call to check whether the employee has got the safe dropThanks,Dinesh

Hi Vikas,In such case, mostly organization taking self declaration from female staff for opting out the company provided transport in odd hours on her own will. This declaratiom letter must signed by employee and her manager. Additionally, transport manager can share the report of such case to HR, Compliance or Administration head in month end so that they can review and enhance the process.RegardsSubhash Tanwar

Organizations takes varied stands :- some allow them to be travelling in office cabs and some do not allow the same.- ideally, the organization should follow the norms entailed by the police in terms of moving them out. so if it is late, the creche ayah should be given the cabs or can use the office cabs.In External Creche- the act does not say that the organization has to bear that up but lot of organizations have made it 50:50 sharing model and some of them have asked employees to pay for it. The leadership of the organization should come forward and decide upon it.
